Redskins fans clamor for Grossman

Grossman to the rescue.

With the score 13-3 at the half, the Redskins offense has looked inept in the passing game. Rookie running back Roy Helu has put in a solid effort of nine carries for forty yards but had a costly fumble on the Redskins side of the field in the closing minutes. Brandon Banks has been making a stronger case for his removal from the active roster after almost fumbling a kick return at the two yard line. The real controversy comes at quarterback though. Will Shanahan give Rex a chance in the second half?

The Skins defense has played a pretty solid game given what the offense has put up, which is zero. At this point I don’t believe that there is any more risk in playing Grossman. The Redskins should give him a chance, but don’t take my word for it. We took this poll to twitter and here were the results.

Who should start at QB in the second half of the SF/WAS game?

  • Rex Grossman – 5
  • John Beck – 0
  • Antwan Randle El – 1
  • Roy Helu Jr. – 1

The fans have spoken. (mind you this survey was taken over the course of 4 minutes). Lets see what the Skins will do in the second half.
