Hampton Roads folk seem about 50% Skins and the rest divided between Dallas, Pittsburg, and other NFL teams. I grew up in Dallas in the Landry era and spent a few Sundays watching Dandy Don, Rocket Bob Hayes, Bob Lilly, George Andre, and others at the old Cotton Bowl. I'll never forget wandering down to the lowest seating level to get a close-up of the lumbering giants out on the field. The stadium was often less than half-full and various promotions were used to lure locals to the games since the Cowboys were so bad until 1965. Then in the mid-sixties the Cowboys first broke even, then made the playoffs, which were sold out, thus producing a local blackout and the proliferation of both "Cowboy antennas" and restaurant playoffs-watching at the edge of the blackout zone. It seems ironic that the 60s - 70s Cowboys scientific scouting approach to player selection has been replaced by the Deon/Roy Williams big-star bets, albeit to the benefit of the Skins & others.
