Maybe it wasn’t the 16-13 Redskins win that impressed you.
If it wasn’t John Beck going 14 for 17, 140 yards and managing an effective game, then it was the running game which pounded out 215 yards including a 100-yard performance by Roy Helu, Jr. If it wasn’t that then it was the defense not allowing a point until the Colts kicked a field goal in the 3rd quarter. If it wasn’t any of these then you must be Collin Cowherd.
The Redskins played a Peyton Mannin-less Colts tonight, but looked sharp and played effectively and efficiently. In the first half the Redskins’ offense went up and down the field with effectiveness and ease. This is impressive if Peyton Manning is in the game or not. You can really see that the core of this is lays within its much improved defensive and offensive lines.
Though this week the opposition’s defense got to John Beck three times, there was no sense of domination and the Redskins offensive line was able to hold its own.
Next week, the Redskins will face a daunting task of holding off the Ravens. Thought it may only be preseason, the Redskins are facing the right tests and are doing a fine job in showing that they are indeed improving.
