Assessing the Redskins success or failure at this point is foolish

For those of you who are campaigning for “Suck for Luck” you have as much football knowledge as does a native resident of Chile.  If you think the Redskins are going to soar and win under the radar and cruise into the playoffs, you need to put down the pipe.

Why the Redskins will not suck, intentionally

This is too easy…the coaching staff wants to stay employed.  Going 3-13 or 2-14 does nothing but get Mike Shanahan fired, and then what?  Draft Andrew Luck to play for a horrible team, perpetually rebuilding?  No.  This team will be competitive.  Whether they win or not depends on how they execute.  But hear me out, they will be competitive.

The Redskins may win, but will not be great

The Redskins can sneak in a few wins, and should the be improved by the second half of the season there is no telling how well the can do.  Yes, they have to win games in the NFC East, but outside of the Eagles who is really a powerhouse?  The Cowboys have their own deficiencies, self inflicted by their own salary cap limitations.  The Giants have been mismanaging their roster losing players, and unloading many standouts.  The Redskins can win games in this division, not saying the will, but they are there for the taking.  Nonetheless, do not expect too much.
