Portis to get another shot with Washington
Clinton Portis may be headed to Washington…State for a work out with the Seattle Seahawks. Per ProFootBallTalk: Veteran running back Clinton Portis, largely forgotten throughout the 2011 training camp and preseason, will soon be getting another chance to get back into the league. Jason La Canfora reported earlier in the day that Portis will work out for the Seahawks this week. Per La Canfora, it’s not expected that the Seahawks will sign Portis. It would be a surprise at this point if anyone signs Portis before the first weekend of NFL action. Because any player with four or more years [...]
Redskin player ratings on Madden 2011
So Madden came out today and like every year it has become a secondary holiday for guys, right behind the Super Bowl. With that said what are some of the player rankings going to be for our Washington Redskins at the conclusion of the season? John Beck comes in with no real tape for us to evaluate him by. Should he start can he lead this team to wins and pad his season with stats? Or will his fail? In any case what will his player rating be? Likewise, if Sexy Rexy is the signal caller, how will he fare [...]
Redskins make thier first round of cuts
The Redskins made cuts in order to comply with a mandate to have the roster down to 80 players. The cuts were as follows: Offensive linemen Xavier Fulton and Corey O’Daniel Defensive backs Tyrone Grant and Dante Barnes Linebacker Eric McBride Tight End Joe Torchia Kicker Clint Stitser Quarterback Ben Chappell and finally third year wide receiver, Malcolm Kelly. Kelly who had been nursing a foot injury has missed most of camp. He was placed on IR last year after he could not heal from a hamstring injury. In 3 seasons with the team, he only complete one full season [...]
The Redskins are far and away a better team than last season for two reasons. 1)They have another year under two new systems – offense and defense 2.) They have been playing a cohesive unit. Anyone can see these observations if you have been following the team *AHEM* Sporting News, ESPN Magazine. But as we head towards a home date vs. Tampa Bay here three players who are potentially playing for their spot on the roster. 1. John Beck must show how badly he wants to QB this team and how ready he is to do it. The most [...]

Redskins lose a vital member of the defensive line
The 2nd Rounder Jarvis Jenkins tweeted this morning: RT @Jarvis99jenkins Redskin fans thanks for the support I love you all.unfortunately it is a ACL tear. Watching the play where Jenkins went down awkwardly and painfully you knew it was bad. You knew it was bad seeing him lay in pain, clutching his knee. The Washington Post adds: The second-round pick out of Clemson had been among the most impressive rookies this preseason and was expected to be a key contributor on the Redskins’ revamped defensive line. He started his second preseason game Thursday night but didn’t last long. On the [...]
As per ESPN980, Bruce Allen, the GM of the Washington Redskins, announced that Rex Grossman would start tonight’s preseason contest. There is no telling how long either he or John Beck play, but expect both of them to see equal reps with the first team.
What Redskin fans should know about tomorrow’s game
Questions from a Raven’s Blogger: Riley Babcock 1. I couldn’t help but notice Tim Hightower’s performance over the last two weeks. Do you think his success running the ball will continue throughout the regular season or is it just a preseason fluke? No I don’t think its a fluke, but expect to see him spelled a lot and often. I predict that he will unseat Ryan Torain for the number one back, but be spelled by him with Roy Helu, Jr. as a change up back. This will be a running attach that most fans have not seen out of [...]
Here is a cool off-season video I found of Santana Moss working out with Chad Ochocinco, Andre Johnson and Antonio Brown. Enjoy!
It’s only Pre-Season…right??
What does that mean anyway? It’s only Pre-Season…? Does that really mean that these 4 games per year have no meaning at all? If so then why do we even play them? Now I’m no guru of any sorts but I believe I can come to some type of common sense to this commonly over/misused statement. FACT: Not all teams approach the Pre-Season with the same outcome in mind. Some teams approach Pre-Season to stricktly put a team on the field to see who can make the last roster spots and practice squad. No desire to win a game [...]
