Redskins look to ink another quarterback as they head into camp. Clemmens comes from the Jets and has agreed to a one year deal.

A source, from WFAN,  has indicated that the Redskins are currently negotiating a deal with Cullen Jenkins.  Could be finalized soon.  More to come!

Ok, this is brand new but has me scratching my head. Receiver Donte’ Stallworth is leaving Baltimore.  But he’s not going far. A league source tells us that Stallworth has agreed to terms with the Washington Redskins. Stallworth was suspended for all of the 2009 season after pleading guilty to felony DUI manslaughter.  He has played for the Saints, Patriots, Eagles, Browns, and Ravens. He contributed nearly 700 receiving yards to the Patriots 16-0 season in 2007. We don’t know the money involved, and how much is guaranteed,  he could be brought in a cut by the season opener or [...]

According to NFL.com The Redskins have agreed to a six-year contract with free-agent defensive lineman Barry Cofield that will pay him $12.5 million in guaranteed money, The Washington Post said Tuesday, citing multiple reports. Cofield, 27, had 54 tackles and four sacks for the NFC East rival New York Giants last season. He’s expected to play either nose tackle or end in the Redskins’ 3-4 defense. The Redskins, who also reportedly agreed Tuesday to trade quarterback Donovan McNabb to the Minnesota Vikings, are expected to be agressive in pursuing free agents this offseason.

Looks like the only thing left is formalities.  I think that sending McNabb to a team that is actually a contender and before camp opens was a good move and for all concerned.  It was done in the best interest of the team, and for McNabb. So in your opinion, was it a good move?

 @OmarKelly: I’m being told Donovan McNabb to Minnesota for a late round pick is a done deal. Terms of a renegotiated contract remains the only hold up. Nothing confirmed yet, and we will likely not hear anything substantial until tomorrow.  Earlier we shared a tweet from Brian Mitchell, stating that McNabb was not involved with this at all.  If this does go down, it will at least put to bed on potential camp controversy.  If that is the case, there is still one more to go.
