Redskins wide receiver core looks to make strides behing veterans

Last week I penned and article about the possibility of Santana Moss or Brandon Banks being on the bubble. I mentioned the wide receivers on the roster but failed to mention Malcolm Kelly (props to Alex35332), but believe it or not but he is the Redskins most veteran receiver. Sounds crazy I know. Nonetheless, this is a group that has much to prove but has much youth to lean on.

“Right now, there is a lot of youth,” Armstrong said. “Hopefully we can get [free agent wide receiver] Santana [Moss] back after the lockout ends. That would be huge. He could bring that veteran leadership and help keep us solid.”

The watch will continue to see if Moss is re-signed and if not which veteran they get. They will need competence at this position, and plenty of it.
