Party On

For those of you who may have seen large cranes and construction equipment outside of FedEx field recently,  it is because the team has decided to remove some of the seats in the upper level behind each endzone to add “party decks” like those you may have noticed at many of the newer NFL stadiums, and perhaps more familiarly at Nationals Park downtown. The multi-million dollar project is expected to be complete prior to the 2012 season. I know many fans, as well as myself certainly enjoyed last offseason’s FedEx renovation of adding the 2 very large HD jumbo-screens behind each endzone, so let’s hope the new “party decks” are also a hit amongst Redskins fans and add to the gameday experience at FedEx. For the full story and how the removal of many 400 level seats at FedEx may affect season ticket holders, check out Mike Jones’ article on the subject in today’s Washington Post
