LaRon Landry top NFC Pro Bowl vote getting safety

Despite only playing in9 games and currently being on injured reserve Washington Redskins strong safety LaRon Landry led all NFC safeties in pro bowl votes.

Having been moved to strong safety this season it allowed Landry to be used to the best of his abilities and wreak havoc near the line of scrimmage instead of constantly being put in to deep coverage. In just 9 games played his stats were

85 combined tackles (66 solo, 19 assisted), 1 sack, 8 pass deflection, 1 interception and 1 forced fumble

Landry was having what was by far the best season of his career before having it shortened by a left achilles injury. So of course he will not be playing in the Pro Bowl and because of his injury probably should not have gotten as many votes as he did but the fact is that he did.

So congratulations to LaRon for being the only Redskin voted to the Pro Bowl as a starter by the fans
