Rumors confirmed, Rex Grossman to start Sunday against the Cowboys

Earlier this morning Kelli Johnson of Comcast Sportsnet confirmed the rumors that have been swirling all week, with a tweet…

Just learned that Rex Grossman is starting over McNabb Sun in Dallas; I’m told Redskins Lockeroom is divided and guys are extremely upset

As they should be.

A chance to sweep Dallas for the first time since 2005 and McNabb is benched for Grossman?  Huh?

I guess we can wave this game, and the season sweep of our most hated rivals goodbye…thanks Kyle.

I’m still planning on suffering through the game this Sunday, hoping for a miracle, are you?

looks like you beat me to it.. i was just about to post something about this.

I’m surprised by the move and am curious to see what Shanny will have to say.. is it because McNabb is not healthy enough to go? is it because his days here are done and they will use the out clause to get out of the contract?

This is ridiculous! Grossman has no business starting for an NFL team. The Bears favored well because of their defense. Ours however has been hit & miss this season thanks to new scheme and sub-par tackling. No way do the Skins look any better with rex chucking the rock. I just pray this cerebral flatulation of Shannahan does not ruin what meger solidity is left in the locker room. Hail to the Redskins!

This will be the first Redskins game in about 10 seasons that I’ve willfully missed.

Shanahan? Grossman? No thanks. I simply have better things to do this Sunday then watch my beloved team write its next chapter of embarrassment.

I think that’s the way a lot of Redskins fans are feeling. It’s hard to imagine things have actually gotten worse than last year…
