Step aside Brett, it’s London’s turn

London Fletcher is now tied with Peyton Manning for the active record for most consecutive games started in the NFL (AP Photo)

With Brett Favre inactive tonight versus the Giants in Detroit, his active streak of 297 straight starts is over. Who had the second longest active streak [tied] in the NFL you ask?

Washington’s own London Fletcher. London (along with Manning) has started in 205 consecutive games since entering the NFL in 1998 with the St. Louis Rams. Fletcher’s career has spanned over 13 seasons with the Rams, Bills and Redskins. He has averaged an astonishing 122 tackles per season during this streak and was named to his first and only Pro Bowl during the 2009-2010 season.

London is scheduled to start his 206th consecutive game this Sunday in Dallas as the Redskins take on the Cowboys. (1PM EST on FOX)
