Washington’s struggling run game may get a much needed boost on Sunday as they are expecting the return of running back Ryan Torain. He is coming off of a hamstring injury that caused him to miss the last 4 games but this Friday Shanahan had the following to say about him
“He’s full go and ready go – no setbacks this week,”
“He had a good practice and unless something happens [Saturday], which I don’t anticipate, he should be full go.”
This Sunday the Skins will face a Tampa Bay team that has given up 128.5 yards per game rushing (7th worst) on 4.6 yards per carry (tied for 4th worst). So it is pretty fair to say that teams have shown that the Bucaneers can be ran against and having Torain back gives the Skins a better chance to do just that.
Despite having played in only 6 games he leads the team in rushing yards and is second in rushing/receiving touchdowns combined. He more than likely wont have to carry the whole load and will share touches with Keiland Williams and James Davis but definitely do look for the Skins to work him in to the mix.
So hopefully all things will go as planned and we will be able to see him back on the field Sunday.
