Washington Redskins Stop The Tennessee Titans

Hayensworth and the Redskins go to Nashville looking for a win.

The Washington Redskins needed a rebound game, and boy did they get it.  The Skins were glad to get Clinton Portis back, but without Ryan Torain they were still short handed.

McNabb looked good throwing 30/50, one touchdown and one interception for 376 yards.  At times he looked disortiented, but nonetheless he was more than capable of leading the Redskins downfield, giving them a chance to win.

Keiland Williams got plenty to touches today, as Portis left early re-aggrivating his groin injury.  He was spelled at times by Darrel Young.

Santana Moss also played very well today.  He had six catches for 106 yards and one score.  In the battle of the two Mosses, Santana got the better of  Randy who was held with NO catches.

On defense, the Redskins kept the Titans’ offense out of the end zone and keeping Chris Johnson in check for most of the game.  Johnson finished the game with 130 yards.  Though Johnson had a good game, at no point did he take over like many spectators feared.

On defense, they got two turnovers (one fumble and one interception). Phillip Buchanan, who I was very critical of, actually played well down the stretch cashing in on one interception.

The Redskins now regroup and prepare for the Minnesota Vikings who just got routed by the Green Bay Packers 31-3.

Note: Vince Yong went down with a thumb injury in the third quarter (thumb).  He was replaced by  Rusty Smith.
