Albert Haynesworth's half-brother tragically passes

According to the Tennessean.com

Metro Nashville police confirm Albert Haynesworth’s brother, Lance McCoy, was killed
Thursday night in a motorcycle accident on Gallatin Pike.

McCoy, 23, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he struck a car and was killed about 9 p.m., said police spokeswoman Kristin Mumford.

He was pronounced dead at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

McCoy is one of three sons of Linda Haynesworth. He is the youngest of three.

Haynesworth played football at the University of Tennessee and for the Tennessee Titans and now plays for the Washington Redskins.

The location police gave for the wreck was 2353 North Gallatin Pike.

There was no evidence of alcohol or drug involvement, police said.

The preliminary cause appears to be excessive speed of motorcyclist, Mumford said.

The driver of the car, a Nissan Altima, complained of some pain but was not transported to a medical facility.

No other injuries reported.
