The Washington Post Announces Redskins App on the App Store
Free App for iPhone and iPod Touch Offers The Post’s News, Commentary, Play-By-Play of Games, Schedules, and Stats
WASHINGTON—September 21, 2010—The Washington Post today announced its Washington Post Football Insider 2010 app, now available from the iTunes App Store. Like The Post’s Redskins Insider blog, the app allows readers to access The Post’s continuous reporting, commentary and breaking news about the Redskins—in addition to play-by-play of games, stats, game schedules, photo galleries and more—from the convenience of their iPhone or iPod Touch.
“The Washington Post is a trusted leader when it comes to covering the Redskins. This app showcases all of our Redskins content and game day tools in one place,” said Raju Narisetti, Managing Editor of The Washington Post. “We know our readers have an appetite for Redskins content, and we’re excited to provide more of what they love, no matter where they are.”
The Washington Post Football Insider 2010 app invites readers to view Washington Post-created Twitter feeds for Redskins news, as well as access the official team roster and injury information. Readers will also find columns from popular Washington Post sports columnists including Sally Jenkins, Tom Boswell, Tracee Hamilton and more. The blogs “Hard Hits with LaVar Arrington” and “D.C. Sports Bog” by Dan Steinberg will be included later in the season.
The app is available for iPhone or iPod Touch, found on the link below:
Home Visions, Inc. is the official Season Sponsor of The Washington Post Football Insider 2010 app.
