The Best of the NFC East

Who will RULE the EAST? The Cowboys looked primed to breakout and capitalize on their great run last year.  The Giants look to bounce back and show they are not done ruling the NFC East.  The Eagles look eager to launch the new Kevin Kolb era.  Meanwhile the Skins are ready to turn some heads with Mike Shanahan and Donovan McNabb leading the charge. Whoever you root for, one thing is undeniable, the NFC East is the Beast.

Year after year, this division is more often than not described as the “toughest” division in football. Now it’s time to prove it.

FanSided is having all the division writers get together and form All-Star divisional teams.  The two best QB’s, the two best DE’s, we will discuss and poll here.  Look for great collaborative pieces from Josh over at thelandryhat.com, Adam from insidetheiggles.com, and Paul from giantshq.com.  This isn’t about the your favorite players from your own team., this about the best of the best from our division.

Starting tonight we will be debating the top two defensive ends and top two tight ends. Stay tuned and come back and vote!

Does the all-star team play a 3-4 or a 4-3? This obviously has rammifications when debating who the best defensive ends are this evening.

Hey Matt great question. We talked about this and we decided that the NFC East team will play 4-3. The Skins and Boys will be playing 3-4 in 2010 but we will go with previous year’s stats.

Also, players like DeMarcus Ware was an OLB anyway when Dallas played 4-3…so it should work out.
