Cowboys Run Bryant With The First Team

Certainly moving up to take him was a sign that this was the direction they wanted to go in. Roy Williams, to this point, has not been effective enough for Dallas. Now, Dez Bryant is getting his first taste with the first team unit on three wide reciever sets.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones surely didn’t pounce on receiver Dez Bryant with the intention not to use him.  And so it’s no surprise that Bryant already is on the field with the first-team offense.

Specifically, Bryant has been practicing with the starting unit in three-receiver sets featuring Miles Austin and Roy Williams as the other two wideouts, per the Associated Press.

“It’s crazy — just a lot of weapons at one time on the field,” Bryant said.  “It’s going to be hard to stop. . . .   It’s exciting to be able to be out there with those guys.  I felt like coach put me out there for a reason. They’re trying to get me to learn everything as soon as possible.  I’m doing a good job and it’s just great.”

This should add to WR Patrick Crayton’s greif as he now wishes to be released. The organization appears to disagree as they would prefer getting something in return for him. The storyline now for this corp will be what the depth of the WR’s will be interesting leading up to their training camps.
