Daniel Snyder and select members of the Washington Redskins dedicated a brand new football field to the community’s youth in Northern Virginia. After the events, he answered questions for the media. This is a rare event as Snyder is not one to give the media soundbytes, but he touched on a few topics, and the one that stood out were his comments on Albert Haynesworth’s absence so far from team activities.
“I’m disappointed he’s not here. Absolutely,” Snyder said. “We’re expecting our players to lead by example, and we’re expecting our players to understand that they’re Redskins and they need to be here.”
This echos similar sentiments of other teammates who feel the same way, but have not condemned him. We are really getting mixed signals, at least opinion wise from this team. While cutting ties may be a good idea for just moving on, others still voice out that they could be a better team with him here.
