Russ Grimm has chosen the man who shaped his career and guided him through a better part of his now legendary career. Joe Bugel, the legendary offensive line coach for Joe Gibbs’ championship teams in the 1980’s will have the honor of presenting Grimm in the Hall of Fame Induction ceremony in August. Grimm has been recognized as the cornerstone of that line playing in all three championship appearances in the 1980’s as well as the Super Bowl in 1991. With Grimm now enjoying the recognition he has so long deserved, could or should Joe Bugel be at least considered for a spot in the Hall? Granted he did not have much success while being the head coach for the Cardinals and Raiders, but perhaps at least the discussion should at least take place on his coaching contributions on the offensive line. Just a thought.
