In a league where second chances have been the norm, as of late, Adam “Pacman” Jones will be doing his best to earn a third. Drafted in the 2005 draft, his talent and skill has been marred by off the field antics, and bad behavior. After playing brilliantly at times in Tennessee, he was was let go and got another chance in Dallas. That did not not last long either and now he is joining the draft hopefuls by participating in organized individual workouts.
At least four teams are expected to be present to watch Pacman: The 49ers, Lions, Jaguars and Saints, according to NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora.
It’s unclear how many teams will leave immediately after my alma mater’s Pro Day, but I’d hope more than four teams show up for that. And yes, it’s sad that Pacman is the source of the Tulane football program getting some rare attention.
While behavior and discipline could have been developed during his time away, there is not telling what level his talent and skill are on. Time will tell if he can latch on with a team, or just become another washed-up NFL star.
