Easily the most dangerous wide receiver in the NFC East, even more so than Miles Austin, DeSean Jackson has not yet agree or signed a contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Despite some Twitter entries suggesting that Eagles receiver DeSean Jacksonhas gone to Philly and left with a new contract, we’re told that Jackson has not yet obtained a new contract from the Eagles.
Jackson is eligible for an extension because he has completed two NFL seasons. Unlike other young players whom the Eagles have extended early in their years before they became stars, Jackson already is a star.
I highly doubt any holdout will occur, and problems should arise in giving Jackson what he wants. Teams plan around the talented wide receiver, and with doubt that seems to be clouding the quarterback situation, you want to have a treat at wideout a constant.
If it is any indication of what Jackson intends to do, he seems upbeat and positive of where he is contract wise and is willing to put extra work in to ensure his team’s success. Jackson said this via twitter:
@deseeanjackson10: Late night early mornin I stay on my grind… cuhz ya kno I gotta shine….. put work in over time.. gotta go hard for da squad,,,,
