Giants “Set” To Open New Stadium

There was a coin toss that was to occur to determine who opens the new stadium, which will be shared by the New York Jets and the NewYork Giants, and apparently the Giants won that toss.

The New York Daily News reports Jets owner Woody Johnson is “outraged” after the Giants won a secret coin toss Monday to determine what team gets to play in the new Meadowlands Stadium first.   Apparently, no Jets representative was in attendance.

The Jets aren’t happy about it, and they should be.  For all they know, the coin toss was done at the Mara estate, in front of long time Giant’s season ticket holders.  The coin may have also had Phil Simms on on side and Lawrence Taylor on the other.  And after the G-Men won the toss, the fans in attendance still booed.  Ahmad Brandshaw did the honors, and Brandon Jacobs was not pleased at all, I would no be surprise if he asks for his release.
