Reggie Brown Flies South (NFC East)

Reggie Brown is an Eagle no more.  He was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for their sixth round pick in 2011.

The Buccaneers have announced that their own sixth-round pick from the 2011 draft has been shipped to Philly for receiver Reggie Brown.

Brown is under contract through 2014. Per NFLPA records, he is due to receive a base salary of $1 million in 2010, $1.2 million in 2011, $1.6 million in 2012, $3 million in 2013, and $3.7 million in 2014.

Brown was groomed in the 2005 season to be a regular target after the departure of Terrell Owens from the Eagles.  He has been an effective receiver, but has been over shadowed by wide outs such as DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Macklin. A breakout game Brown had was against the Redskins in 2005, where he caught two first half touchdowns.  The Eagles wound up losing that game, and ending up in last place in the NFC East.  The Redskins, meanwhile earned a Playoff berth.
