The Redskins who are reaching back to the roots of the game and who its is managed and played, may not be able to reach into it’s storied past in preparations for the regular season. Jason Bristol of CBS 21 News reports:
The return of the Washington Redskins training camp to Cumberland County would have been a trip down memory lane; but CBS 21 News Sports Director Jason Bristol has learned the idea is essentially dead.
A source familiar with the situation told Bristol the school and Redskins owner Daniel Snyder had talked; but on Monday, Dickinson College spokeswoman Christine Dugan said “no further discussions are planned.”
The Redskins held training camp at Dickinson College in Carlisle from 1962 to 1994 and in 2001 and 2002.
