Should Chris Samuels Retire?
What are your opinions on the Chris Samuels situation? Is he doing the team a service by sucking it up and playing way past his prime? This is what we know about Mr. Samuels:
- Six-Time Pro-Bowler out of 11 seasons
- All Pro in 2001
- Injury prone
- Getting older
- Constantly beat by speed rushers
That is what we know, the good and the bad. We saw what happened to Jon Jansen. Personally I thought he was done when he was injured in the 2007 season opener versus Miami. He hung on as long as he could, but he was beat out by Stephan Heyer. STEPHAN HEYER! I love Heyer’s effort, but if he beats you out…that really says something.
So if Chris Samuels decides to give it one more go: DO YOU CUT HIM NOW? OR DO YOU GIVE HIM ONE MORE SHOT?
Clinton Portis or LaDainian Tomlinson?
Of their era, in their Prime I thought these two were the two best backs. In my opinion, LT at 1 and Shaun Alexander at 2 and Clinton Portis at 3. Like I said my opinion. My last blog I stated that if the Skins had a chance to get LT, they should forget about it! Why? Many would argue that Portis is done as well. That may be true, but the difference is that Portis already is here. I know LT is a shell of who he was, but probably more better off than Shaun Alexander was when he came here. Nonetheless, he would want to be a featured back and at least get equal or significant carries. LT has never gone to a Super Bowl and would want to cement his legacy with a berth and championship win. To me that means two things: a long term contract (3-5 years) and an already playoff established team.
That is my opinion, but what do you say?
Redskins and the Law
Chad Reinhert and Bryon Westbrook, were both recently arrested for intoxication and trespassing(Reinhert) and DUI (Westbrook). Until these two incidents occurred, the Skins have been relatively law abiding citizens.
DO THESE TWO DESERVE A SECOND CHANCE? OR DO THE SKINS MAKE A NO TOLERANCE POLICY AND CUT TIES?
