Dallas Cowboys:

Notables

(restricted) WR Miles Austin, WR Sam Hurd, DE Marcus Spears, P/K Shaun Suisham

Thoughts:

Philadelphia Eagles v Dallas Cowboys

Not sure how they would be retooling as their offense found a great rhythm down the stretch.   Austin will want big time money and he should get it.  Sam Hurd is expendable at this point with Roy Williams, Austin, and Crayton along with Jason Witten the Cowboys can pick someone up for cheap rather than keep Herd. As for Shaun Suisham, I think he doesn’t come back.

New York Giants:

Notables (restricted) OL Kevin Boothe, DT Barry Cofield, CB Kevin Dockery, WR Domenik Hixon,  DT Fred Robbins. Thoughts:

New York Giants v Washington Redskins

Michael Strahan is high on Hixon and believes he can be a threat.  But IMO he is a waste of space when the Giants have a truck load of talent at WR.  As far as I am concerned, he is gone.  After a defensive meltdown in the last two games of the season, it will be interesting to see what the Giants do, starting with the defensive line.  If Chris Canty and Rocky Bernard are healthy, it will be interesting to see what happens to Coefield and Robbins.

Philadelphia Eagles:

Notables

(restricted) WR Jason Avant,CB Ellis Hobbs, OLB Jeremiah Trotter(signed mid-season)

Thoughts:

Cowboys Roy Williams gains 8 yards in the 3rd.

Avant is good to have, but not a huge loss.  Jeremiah Trotter was brought in for depth, his leadership was a bonus but will not be missed after he is not re-signed.

Washington Redskins:

Notables QB Jason Campbell, S Reed Doughty, OL Stephon Heyer, LB Rocky McIntosh,CB Carlos Rogers,DE Philip Daniels, OL Levi Jones, OL Casey Rabach Thoughts: It is probably not a forgone conclusion that Jason Campbell will be back, and perhaps the starter.  A lot can change between now and the draft, and anything can happen.  However, he seems to be a certain bet…for now. Reed Doughty at safety, I will say stays at the current moment.  I doubt the Skins would take safety Eric Berry in the Draft, but the Skins are pretty deep at safety if you add Kareem Moore and Fred Smoot (in spots).  Carlos Rogers doesn’t want to be here, and I don’t think he will be retained.  Maybe he can “catch” on somewhere else.

Washington Redskins v Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Now, Casey Rabach, Levi Jones, and Stephan Heyer present an interesting case.  The zone blocking scheme is something very different than what there were used to with Joe Bugel.  I can see Raback staying because of his experience and at center he will probably not be asked to move about as much.  I still have not seen enough of Levi Jones to determine if he can be viable in the run game, and Heyer has shown he has trouble adjusting.  So for me, maybe Levi and bye-bye to Heyer.
