Cowboys & Indians: Ho Ho Ho

I wanted to tell you my thoughts on George Allen.  I was hoping to sound cerebral even.  But, it’s Dallas Week and I’m thinking of a couple Christmas presents I’d dearly love to have, one of which is a win over Dallas.  In the spirit of the holidays, I will not say ‘I hate Dallas’.  The heck I won’t – I really hate the Cowboys.  Their cheerleaders are nice, though.  Of course, the quality of the Redskins’ cheerleaders has improved markedly over the decades. is buzzing with news that Shawn Suisham might be telling Dallas coaches a thing or two about the Skins’ tactics.  Woohoo.  I wasn’t happy that he was released, to be honest.  But, this new kicker is something else.  So, sqawk away Mr. Suisham.

Until Saturday, Go Skins!

Dick's Sporting Goods presents "Hell Week":

I have always hated Dallas. I threw darts at Roger Staubach’s bubblegum card as a child. Riggo is my hero. Rebuild the team. Get Gruden and give him full control. Go young and take time. Four year plan.

hardin hog – yea and Amen, as they say. I figured Gruden would be here once Allen was hired. However, he signed that new deal (reportedly 6 years) with ESPN, so I’m not sure how that would work. I know this – there’s a nucleus of young talent on the Redskins, but there are a lot of positions that need improvement. So, 4 years may not be out of the question, though I think 3 is very doable.

I realize the O-line needs a total rebuild, but I think the top draft pick has to be Toby Gerhart. He’s tough like Riggo and very intelligent. A face-of-the-franchise type player. I would then draft offensive linemen and linebackers. I would buy the best available QB and WR on the free agent market. Also I would try to trade for a hard hitting strong saftey to replace Sean Taylor. Then, the team may be able to slip back into the playoffs within a year. The Giants and Cowboys are in decline. The Eagles will be the class of the division for the next couple of years.
