As Redskins fans, we’re quite used to the idea of winning ugly. Grind it out and hope the anemic offense can somehow muster 14 points while the defense shuts down the other team. This has been our general strategy for several years now. What we’re not used to is looking great while managing to lose the game anyway. Let me say that I’m proud of our team. They took on an undefeated juggernaut that destroyed the Patriots and the Redskins flat out outplayed them. But for a fluke play at the end of the first half, the game wouldn’t have even been close.
While there were perhaps a few things I might have done differently, it would be nitpicking. I can’t really blame Zorn for this loss either. There were no major mistakes or gaffes. He did everything he needed to do to secure a win. It just didn’t happen. I’m not even going to point the finger at the Refs, who did make a very suspect decision to overturn the ruling on the field in overtime which pretty much handed the Saints the victory. The call was questionable at best, but the Redskins shouldn’t have been in that position in the first place.
No, there is one person we can blame for this loss, and his last name rhymes with Free-shem. The kicking game has haunted the Redskins two out of the last three weeks now, and this time it was a gimme chip shot. It was inexcusable. This offseason, getting a legitimate kicker MUST be a priority. Suisham must go!

missing the chip-shot, unacceptable. defense allowing the saints to drive the entire field in 33secs, retarded. no team after watch these guys(saints) throw bombs all year long should ever allow a reciever behind the safties, especially leading with under 2mins remaining.
