Chiefs-Redskins: A KC Fan Speaks

I mentioned in my last post that I have family in Kansas City.  One of my extended family members responded on Facebook to that post.  I thought his comments were quite insightful, and am therefore sharing them with you.  After reading them, I realized the Redskins’ advantage at Tight End will be a moot point if Cooley has to stay in and block.  Of course, that could lead to Randle El being thrown to more, which would not be a bad thing.  Nonetheless, the Skins will need Cooley to run routes when they’re near or in the red zone.

Nice breakdown and hard to argue with. I don’t follow the Redskins very closely but don’t you have an offensive lineman out which is forcing Cooley to stay in and block or is he healthy now? KC is well aware of how that can hurt a team. Tony Gonzalez was forced to block much of the time over the past couple of years. It’s no wonder he wanted out of here.

KC is paying back the football gods for having had the the best offensive line over the course of a decade practically. I just hope the payback isn’t also a decade.
