I don’t think Zorn was necessarily ready to be a head coach, and I don’t think he was given a solid offensive line to work with. That should have been the Redskins’ first concern. Both issues point back to management and ownership. As someone who has suffered through years of Jerry Jones, I feel your pain. That doesn’t mean that I won’t enjoy watching the Skins struggle through the rest of the season (I have a strange feeling we will too), but I know the feeling.

Mister Snyder is clearly comfortable with him and is reluctant to make a change that might cause him to have less fun the way he did when Shottenheimer was in charge. I do believe he’s a fan, but he’s also a businessman and he wants to have fun playing with his team.

So he’s not going to give up the GM duties lightly unless he’s convinced that it’s absolutely necessary. And of course, since he’s surrounded himself by people who will agree with him, nobody is going to convince him that he needs to make a change.
I think we’re stuck with Vinny unless this season hits his pocketbook really hard.
