If you go to SI.com’s NFL section, you’ll see an article entitled ”SI.COM’s NFL Season Predictions”. Under the heading ‘Coach Who Won’t Be Back in 2010′, Peter King wrote that the Redskins will miss the playoffs and that both Jim Zorn and Jason Campbell will be let go. Ross Tucker asserted that the Redskins have to win a playoff game this year for Zorn to return after the season. Both clearly believe the Redskins will fail to meet Dan Snyder’s expectations. Skins Sign QB Andre Woodson
The Washington Redskins signed quarterback Andre Woodson to their practice squad after he was cut by the New York Giants. Woodson is big and strong, and can be mobile. During his college career at Kentucky, he had two long stretches where he didn’t throw an interception. He reportedly has good foot work and is able to drop back quickly. That’s a real plus in Jim Zorn’s eyes, as he preaches quick drop-backs. He’s considered to be a pocket passer, and was compared by one scouting service to Jason Campbell. In the entertainment industry, and rest assured – the Redskins are an entertainment entity – you’re sometimes fortunate if actions meet the standard of legal.
