Fred Davis Turns It Around Against the Steelers

He blocks, he causes a fumble on a punt, and he catches a touchdown pass from Chase Daniel. Guess what? Fred Davis looks like an entirely different player. He’s a site for sore eyes.

Speaking of turning it around, I believe Justin Tryon has acquitted himself, as well. He’s played most of the defensive snaps, and he isn’t getting picked on. Sadly, the Redskins’ kicking team is getting picked on. They’re being downright abused by the Steelers’ kick return team.

Mike Williams and Anthony Alridge aren’t getting a chance to step it up like Tryon, Dorsey, Davis, Daniel, Mason, Mitchell, etc. One or both seems likely to be released soon.

Uh oh – Haynesworth was just asked about playing at FedEx. He was gentle, but he did mention how much larger FedEx is than LP Field where the Titans play.

Anyhoo, Skins leading 17 to 13. Steelers about to punt with 12 minutes to go in the game. Oops – another Steelers’ penalty on the punt. Tomlin isn’t happy.

Colt Brennan will lead the Skins from their 20 with 11:47 to go.

It’s actually a COMCAST report, but I’d rather look at the reporter than Zorn anyway. :-) That said, she mis-spoke. She stated that the upcoming game with New England will be the first game for which the Redskins game-plan. Truth is, Zorn stated that the fact they did some game planning for the Steelers’ game was one of the reasons the team played better than they did against the Ravens.
