Alert Issued for Missing Playoff Hopes
- Have you seen this season?
Riggo’s Rag, working with the National Center for Missing and Disappointed Football Fans, has issued a Burgundy and Amber Alert for the Washington Redskins’ 2008 Playoff Hopes. The Playoff Hopes were last seen at 10:57pm, shortly after Jason Campbell threw a touchdown pass to Antwaan Randle El to bring the Redskins to within one score of the Ravens. The Hopes are believed to be in Baltimore Maryland, possibly in the company of one or more men wearing purple clothing.

You Guys Suck
A loss to the Bengals????
Zorn Sucks, Portis Sucks and Campbell really sucks!!!
December 14th, 2008 at 5:07 pmI can’t really argue with that. It turns out we *were* as bad as we thought we were back in week 1 after all. Turns out the season was just a big tease.
Time to start cheering for the Panthers and Falcons to win the wild card slots over the Cowboys and Eagles!
December 14th, 2008 at 8:50 pmNice try Redskins. Maybe next year. Time to start checking out NFL Mocks.com
December 15th, 2008 at 2:31 amIn some ways this might have been the more humane way to crush our hopes, since the skins weren’t going anywhere the way they were playing anyway. Lingering another week or two would have just made it more painful.
If I keep telling myself that long enough, maybe I’ll start believing it. Yeah, it was for the best! And now we get a better draft pick! Hey-oh!
December 15th, 2008 at 9:43 amoh no you guys ain’t done yet. you guys gotta do one big favor for us. beat the eagles and knock that little bitch ian on his ass once and for all. right now i’d like nothing better than to see philly lose their last 2. everyone on espn is gearing for the cowboy/eagle tassle at the end of the year. and i know they are hoping for the eagles to win as revenge against the cowboys. then all their little jabs will have come true. well i hate philly and no offence to the team as a whole, this is against espn. beat philly, take the thunder away from them and kill espn in the same blow. perfect. can’t stand this soapopera shit, just wish we could play football. but then we’d have no need for espn would we? hmmmm……….
December 16th, 2008 at 1:31 pmDon’t get your hopes up dave, they couldn’t beat the bengals. One running back with a big mouth can’t do it all.
December 16th, 2008 at 3:43 pmDaveDallas, for once I’d like to oblige you. But I wouldn’t hold my breath. This team seems to have given up on the season.
December 16th, 2008 at 7:43 pmBecause of my proximity to Fedex Field, I was actually considering going to the Skins/Iggles game. I was going to wear a DeMarcus Ware jersey and hold up some obnoxious sign. I would have left happy after either result. But then I figured I’d rather not be surrounded by Redskins or Eagles fans for 3-4 hours.
December 17th, 2008 at 12:17 amhats off to SLINGIN SAMMY BAUGH. an american legend
December 18th, 2008 at 12:12 pmAmen. I guess Sean Taylor needed someone to play quarterback up in heaven. RIP Sammy.
December 18th, 2008 at 7:05 pmwe dont deserve to be in the playoffs after losing to the rams and bengals.the other losses dont bother me as much.had we won those two games we would be in and would have deserved it but if you cant beat those hapless teams you dont deserve it period.i will be rooting for the eagles and the buccaneers next week.
December 21st, 2008 at 9:21 pmfurthermore it is good to see some 9 and 7 teams miss the playoffs.the NFL was getting weak with 8and8 teams getting in.for years 10and6 was the measuring stick as it should be.
December 21st, 2008 at 9:24 pmCan you provide more information on this for the rest of us far-away Lakers fans?
March 23rd, 2009 at 9:40 amI’m not sure what it has to do with the Lakers, but the Redskins got off to a great start and seemed like a definite playoff team. Then they fell apart. The stomping they received from the Ravens destroyed the last real hope they had of making the playoffs. And indeed, they did not make the playoffs. Nor did they deserve to.
