Burgundy Blues

It has been a couple of days now since the debacle on Monday night and I still have a bad taste in my mouth, apparently so does Sanatana Moss. OK we can all now admit that we really underestimated Steelers fans, they showed us there loyalty on Monday night, but that is where the praise stops. Guy had some interesting stories to tell about cars being vandalized, numerous Redskins flags and even car antennas that were ripped off by drunken Steelers fans. We would have respected you a whole lot more had you left in without all these extracurricular activities. I know it was your first win vs an NFC east squad but act like you’ve been there before.

Now on to those all burgundy uniforms, many will want to burn them after the showing we had on Monday, but I say not so fast. I’ll admit it took me awhile to get used to, I didn’t think the burgundy pants would make the uni’s stick out like a sore thumb but they did. I had been waiting years for the team to unveil this new look, so you can imagine my excitement when I heard the news. They weren’t quite what I expected but nonetheless I was fan. The main thing they need to change is to add all white socks. There was far too much burgundy going on and adding white socks into the mix should even it out a little more. I remember a couple years ago when we unleashed the all white uni’s. Many of us were calling for a change something to spark the team, and the all white’s did just that as we marched into the playoffs on an incredible winning streak. Whether you’re superstitious or not it was nice to see a change on Monday. Granted we played one of the worst games of the season but I think that was because the team was physically drained. Remember, we were the very first team to open training camp, we played in the Hall of Fame game and we are one of the last teams to get a bye. The extra week off should give our guys the energy we need to finish off the season strong.
