Our Thoughts and Prayers for the Bugels and the Yoders

The Redskins reported today that Joe Bugel was excused from the team to fly to Arizona to be with his daughter who has bone cancer. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bugel family, and I’m sure I can speak for Redskins fans everywhere that this is true for us all.  I hope I’m wrong, but the fact that the team says he’ll be gone a few days makes it sound like there is little hope left for a miracle. I sure hope I am wrong.

Our thoughts and prayers also go out to the Yoder family.  It was reported in the same article that Todd was excused from practice on Monday to attend the funeral of his grandmother. Todd has been a real gamer for us, and I’m sure a ton of that came from his grandmother.

Sorry for the downer post, but just like with Sean Taylor’s death last year, I think it is important all of this is handled by the family.  And unlike most teams, I really do think Redskins players, coaches, and fans really are a family. Hail Skins! Hail Joe and Todd!
