Sassy New Jaguars Site takes on Landry Hat
Sometimes it warms my heart to be part of the Fansided Network. Everyone please give a warm welcome Black and Teal, a site devoted to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Black and Teal’s writer Jeanne dared to write a humorous post about Jason Witten, showing him getting tackled by a small child. As you probably know, Dan from Landry Hat has considerable Man-love for Witten. He’s so far out of touch that he has claimed that Witten is the best tight end in the NFL and a future Hall of Famer who will have better career numbers than either Tony Gonzalez or Antonio Gates.
Jason Witten is to the Landry Hat what McNabb is to Ian from Inside the Iggles. Needless to say, Dan did not take poor Jeanne’s article well. She’s been battling Cowboys fans ever since. If you get a chance, give her a more proper welcome and say hi. Let her know that not everyone out there is a deranged lunatic with a fetish for Tight Ends.

Pathetic post, looking for attention. DIsgusting. For the record, I did welcome her and say hello. Then I go home, tune in and saw the garbage post on Witten. I am sorry, I didn’t see the wit or humor in it. I saw her attacking a class act tight end, not a pot-smoking hippy frizz head like Cooley. Smoke some dope, redskins guy.
June 21st, 2008 at 1:08 ami took offence to it too. not bbecause i’m a lunitic or have a fetish for tes, but because i have a respect for an all-american kid like jason witten. he’s all about what’s good in the nfl. we have shit in the league every single day. somebody is always in the news with some kind of legal trouble. you got all these young kids with millions of dollars in their pockets and no brains in their heads. witten is one of the bright spots that kids can look up to. it makes me wonder why anyone would take a shot at him jokingly or not. whats the point????? to sensationalize to get hits on your board????? ok then do it. but i still don’t see the humor or find the point to the reason. i “respect” a player like witten. there are eagle players i respect, westbrook, is one hell of a class act. and i’ve pulled for years to see art monk in the hall of fame, not because of only his playing ability, but he’s a great guy and deserves to be in. so when we see this blateant attack on someone like witten, well we get pissed to say the least. it’s a knee jerk and rightfully so

Isn’t it odd that her third post was taking a jab at Dallas, and then Adam came later to join in? Hmmmm.. Not hard to put come to that conclusion. In some ways I feel bad for Jeanne, especially with some of the language used, but the Chef’s fans are juvinal for encouraging that. Like a terrorist sending out someone else to die for the cause

June 22nd, 2008 at 8:59 amI think it’s the whole package. If he didn’t have the attitude to get such a terrible haircut and wear stupid short-shorts, he wouldn’t have had as much success. She was a Redskins cheerleader too, so it was a bit of a scandal for a while.
As for Witten, I didn’t realize how good a person he is. I don’t know if many non-cowboys fans did. If he makes you guys get all riled up in his defense, he must be doing something good with his life though.

Anyone!! As a fan your still gonna stick up for your player. I understand taking a stab at some loud mouth whos all about media attention or his own stats or etc. But Witten??? (or anyone of that character) This guys an amazing Professional football player, who takes time to give back to the community and work with kids. The guys a role model through his actions on and off the field to many. Then someone like her takes a jab at his character while she’s sitting down eating cupcakes in her basement trying to get some attention. Seriously if your gonna insult someone, choose someone who diserves it.

TD, I don’t think it’s necessarily common knowledge outside of Cowboys fans what kind of character Jason Witten is. I certainly didn’t know he was some sort of upstanding character.
At any rate, yes if someone takes a swipe at my skins, I tend to swipe back. But there’s something called a proportional response. Maybe I find what she said against Witten less offensive but I just don’t think it’s that bad. But at any rate, I think it’s fair to say you guys have gotten her back ten times over.

Once in a blue moon I will go to another teams blog site to see another persons point of view on a subject or for news that I might not see elsewhere, but I never post there, IT’S NOT MY PLACE!
June 25th, 2008 at 4:47 pmI make no qualms about the fact that the Cowboys are #1 on my NFL “hate list” however, I wouldn’t ever want to change the rivalry between Dallas and Washington. To me as not only a Redskins fan, but also a football fan, that is what makes the NFL what it is.
If y’all spend half as much energy posting about football and less time bashing each over the head with iron skillets, this might be fun.
I come here to read about and write about MY team, the good, the bad, and the ugly about it. However, it is becoming more and more of a drag coming here because of the “Romper Room” atmosphere.
You’re right redskin. We need to get back to talking football and reign in the smack talk. I’ll try to get an update out over the next day or so. Unfortunately we’re in the slow part of the year when there isn’t much news, but that’s no excuse and I shall redouble my efforts.
I’ll write an official announcement soon, but in case you haven’t heard, the Redskins have signed 7th round draft pick, Defensive End Rob Jackson out of Kansas State. Here’s hoping he’s a keeper. We sure need help at DE.
