Is This a Bad Sign?

Is this a bad sign or am I just reaching for something to talk about? According to Redskins.com Kedric Golston went to North Carolina to watch a NASCAR race and meet with coach Gibbs.

There are three ways to look at this.

1) Golston likes NASCAR and wanted to say hi to his old coach, and Redskins.com just had some space to fill.

2) Golston is no fan of Jim Zorn and wanted to be seen with Coach Gibbs to make a point.  Or maybe he wanted to ask coach if he would help fix some things he didn’t like.

3) Golston just likes NASCAR and went and said hi to his old coach, but the Redskins are a little worried about Zorn and want to keep reminding us of the Gibbs days so we aren’t as unhappy when we see Zorn.

Chances are pretty darn good it is the first one.  I know as much as they do the pressures of trying to come up with something to talk about every day in the offseason.  But they do have a staff, money, photagraphers, archives of old Redskins footage, and all sorts of stuff I don’t have.  Why not run an article telling us what Zorn is doing for Memorial Day weekend?  Is he grilling?  Working on the playbook?

I don’t know if this is some kind of sublte play or not.  I’m probably just paranoid. Any thoughts?

Its option A. We aren’t really that bored yet to start making things out of nothing.

STRETCH: Kedrick is from GA, NASCAR and everything. More of a reminder of some of the defensive lineman on the Redskins team which can make an impact this year since too many think the downfall of the draft was not drafting Defensive lineman in the early rounds.

I gotta say, I’m not really worried about this. Gibbs has to keep his distance to avoid stepping on toes, but that doesn’t mean the Redskins should be banned from NASCAR.
