Wes Welker (who did not force a trade) was a 2nd rounder.  The Eagles couldn't even trade Owens because he behaved poorly enough.  They had to release him.  </p><p>Basically, in recent years I can't think of someone who forced their way out of a city where the team got a first rounder. If I were the Redskins I'd discreetly pass on to Drew Rosenhaus that if Chad wants to be a Redskin, they would be willing to ignore some situps in the driveway.  If Chad tries hard enough, we can get him for a 4th rounder.  Just watch.</p><p>As for the contract, I really don't care about that.  Dan has the money.  He wants to spend it, and if any team has shown that the salary cap is a joke, it is the Redskins.  We'll sign him to a big signing bonus and a backloaded 6 year deal that won't even hurt the cap. Johnson is going to want a huge contract. I just don't know if it's wise to pay him what he's going to want.  I was also operating under the assumption that the Bengals would want more than a 2nd round. If they'll take a 2nd round for him, that obviously is more viable. I'm not sure where you're getting your numbers though.  But if they'll take a second round from us, you'd think that some other team would offer a 1st round. How exactly is he going to fall to us for a 2nd round? The cowboys have two first rounds to spend and JJ is desperate to make a splash.
