Hey Look, We’re Trendy Again
Used to be that in the old days that while the Cowboys were called “America’s Team” it was the Redskins that were hot in the capitol. Every politician was a Redskins fan even if they had to tell their constituents back home they cheered for the home team. At least for one political blogger, we’re back. Check out this post on Politico.com where Anne Mullins compares us to Mike Huckabee.
Now, frankly, I’d prefer to be compared to Fred Thompson. He kicked ass in “Hunt for Red October” and “Days of Thunder.” But at least Huckabee has been endorsed by Chuck Norris and the one and only “Nature Boy” Ric Flair.
Actually, Ric Flair’s famous tag line (stolen, no doubt, but I don’t know where from) “if you want to be the man, you’ve got to BEAT the man” is a good theme for Sunday’s game. You want the playoffs, Redskins? Beat the Cowboys.

Being as I hate Terrell Owens, and don’t mind anyone on the Redskins, I’ve chosen to root for you guys.Considering my team is the Bengals, there is some debate as to whether it’s a good thing, or bad thing that I’m rooting for you

December 28th, 2007 at 7:41 pmWell done, Dave. Any time you can fit Flair, Huckabee and Norris into a blog post, you know that you’ve left everything on the keyboard.
December 28th, 2007 at 10:04 pmDon’t listen to Landry. Dallas is EVIL!
