Redskins Report the Obvious About Campbell
Geeze, didn’t I just call it? Redskins.com is reporting that QB Jason Campbell is having a great camp. See my post yesterday about how easy it is to throw during mini-camp.
If you think I’m being harsh or cynical check this out:
The Jets report that Chad Pennington was sharp in camp.
The Oakland Raiders are impressed with Jamarcus Russell.
The Bengals are happy that Carson Palmer looks healthy.
There are more, but I won’t bore you with link after link about how good the QBs look.
The only interesting links about QBs came from Cleveland and Minnesota where Tavarius Jackson looked shaky when they decided to put actual pressure on him in camp and Cleveland coach Romeo Crennel refused to talk much about his QB situation and the Browns posted this strange story about Charlie Frye which all but admitted that Frye would start but no one was happy about it.
The continuing moral of the story is don’t trust mini-camp news. But enjoy the good news anyway. Its better than living in Cleveland.
